Booking direct is usually well under what the cruise line charges for a comparable Acadia tour — and you deal with your tour operator directly, not a third-party desk.
Cruise passenger questions
This depends on your ships scheduled arrival and departure time. Bar Harbor is a tender port. Typically, when ships are scheduled to arrive by 8:00 AM and depart at 5:00 PM, all of our morning departures, as well as our 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, are timed so cruise guests are back in downtown Bar Harbor with a comfortable margin before all-aboard. If your ship is scheduled to depart at 5:00 PM, they will threaten a 4:00 PM last tender. That means any of our tours returning after 3:30 PM, such as our 1:30 PM tour, will be cutting it too close for comfort.
Yes. You will want to confirm the boat’s departure time before booking any of our afternoon tours. If the ship is scheduled to depart at 5:00 PM, they will likely call last tender at 4:00 PM. In this case, all tours concluding by 3:30 PM or earlier will work for you. If you are booked on one of our AM tours, such as the 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM, you will want to make every effort to get off the ship as soon as you can, as the tendering process is sometimes unpredictable.
